Talking to Rolling Stone Lamb of God frontman, Randy Blythe told the magazine “People shouldn’t expect a prison record,But I write about things that affect me very deeply. And going to prison in a foreign country and being charged with manslaughter will affect you .. trust me …very deeply.

Blythe and others of Lamb Of God announced in 2014 that they were taking a year off. Blythe focused on his upcoming Dark Days memoir, was composing for the Richmond ballet and delving into photography. Chris Adler in of his interviews with liquid metal also mentioned “It’s great. I guess the thing that I was overwhelmed with was the idea of us taking the year off of 2014 and then have us come together basically around now and start putting things together. But, as usual, everybody is a little antsy and wanting to jam, and it wasn’t, like, oh, hey, Willie has an idea and Mark has this kinda cool solo thing he wants to add on top of it. ” Chris also discussed about the songwriting on the new album “I’ve noticed the guys are really writing the kind of stuff that I find myself kind of… I don’t know… I don’t wanna say ‘singing along,’ because there’s no vocals on them yet, but the melodies of the ideas really stick with me, which is one of the things that, if I were to ever complain about more of the recent stuff that I’ve been buying music-wise

    By Ronnie Dutta

Bangalore based post rock outfit Space behind the Yellow Room have been made quite a name for themselves with their unique blend of hardcore and soothing ambience. The band recently released a two track EP entitled Maybe 15 which gives a glimpse on what has been cooking recently.

The first track on the ep happens to be “Feeder” which displays some real good variety from the Bangalore quartet. The hardcore screams sound raw and the subtle changes in the mood give it that slight progressive edge. The focus seems to be more on unfolding it form of a story which when teamed up with the sludge and ambience comes off really well.

The second track titled “And at Last “reminds you of Radiohead.Excellent vocal skills are on display here by Shoumik Biswas and Nihir Apte. The production is neat and I would definitely give this ep an eight out of ten.

  • Mötley Crüe Halfway Through Final World Tour

    May 13 • Tours • 3812 Views

SBC-MOTLEY-CRUE-390x315Mötley Crüe have been around since the early days of heavy metal. And while some might snigger at their brand of “hair metal” their followers have been loyal throughout the years helping the band to become one of the most popular bands in the world.

However, all bands come to an end eventually and in 2014, Mötley Crüe announced that they would be playing their final tour accompanied by rock legend and long time friend Alice Cooper. The tour would see the band play 107 North American dates, 5 in Asia, three in Europe, and 6 in Oceania across two years. In total the band would play 115 shows with reports estimating that the band would earn over $26 million from their final tour.

For Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee there would have been many standout shows to look forward to when they booked the tour. One that arguably before their three homecoming shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles is their show in Las Vegas. The band will be the famous MGM Casino, which is one of the main focal points of the legendary Las Vegas Boulevard.

As one of the biggest proponents of live entertainment, the MGM Resort & Casino built the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 1993. The venue is now one of the most revered of all the Las Vegas arenas where it continues to put on the biggest sporting and musical events welcoming global stars on a weekly basis. The arena holds 16,800 people and will be one of the biggest shows of the Mötley Crüe’s farewell tour.

The Grand Garden Arena has become an important part of the MGM’s business especially with the influx of online gaming sites that have changed the dynamics of casinos. With the need for land-based casinos to compete with their online counterparts because as InterCasino said in a blog post that online casinos, “have definitely taken the virtual and physical gambling worlds by storm.” Thus, it’s imperative that casino resorts like the MGM don’t rely solely on gaming revenues and look to showcase bands of the ilk of Mötley Crüe on a regular basis to diversify their portfolio.
