Kolkata metallers ‘What Escapes Me’ are well known in the scene with the quality music they have been producing over the years , The metal community was stoked to know that they were working on their debut album ‘Egress Point’,The album just got released today, We caught up with band’s guitarist Arindam about the album, The band has been working on this album since 2011-12 but due to unforeseen circumstances and managing everyone’s day jobs it got somehow delayed but finally released on 27th Apr 2016 , Skyharbor’s Keshav Dhar added saying ‘It sounds superb! Aggressive and ballsy and beautiful , all at the same time, Really happy to hear some fresh heavies from you guys after all this time ‘.
The album was Initially all the guitar, bass and drum parts were recorded in Sayan Ghosh’s studio : Studio Outboard The vocals were recorded in RBK studio by Rhitabrata Kar The Indian instruments were recorded in Blooperhouse studios The album has been produced and mixed by Sayan Ghosh and it has been mastered by legendary Australian producer Forrester Savell. ( Savell has worked with Karnivool, Skyharbor, Dead Letter Circus, Animals as Leaders, Sikth, etc), The artwork was all done by Arindam Sen (band’s Guitarist)
The band really focused on premium quality production and detailing making it even more epic and also perhaps a talking point on the same because quality production matters a lot when it comes to a band’s identity in the scene and to it’s fans.
The band is really excited about the album and so are we, and it get’s a 4.5/5 rating from our end, what’s more awesome is they are planning to launch new merch along with this album soon, We will keep you informed once that arrives, Till then you can stream the album here , Or order your copies online from these links
