The post rockers from Poland have released their new record ‘Live Sessions‘ in August. In 2009 the band released their debut album “Aura”.Their music is delicate, ruthless and relentless while

also weaving progressive ambience throughout, avoiding pointless meandering while also utilizing the cathartic build of post rock. Aura was followed ‘Eternal Movements’ in 2013.

The band is equally excited for the maiden India tour ‘Were very happy about that , never been here before and it is totally different than Europe, so you know, lets see what happens.Actually we dont know what to expect, but we are very positive about the crowd reaction, hopefully there will be a blast here in India.’

  • The Drip – A Presentation of Gruesome Poetics

Sep 25 • Reviews, The Slumbering Ent • 2594 Views

Mohammad Kabeer reviews the new EP from the The Drip titled A Presentation of Gruesome Poetics, released via Relapse Records.

a2466137645_10I daresay its one of the best cover artworks out this year, done by Orion Landau

Hello guys its me again with another review, It’s a little late this time, but the proverb “better late than never” is more than apt in this scenario, for this could be a turning point for the genre as a whole. .. But I guess we will only know that in the next twenty years.

The Drip is a Grindcore band from Richland, Washington. While their previous album wasteland was nothing spectacular,  this one right here  hits the ball straight out of the park.  From a musical point of view it is pretty  obvious that these guys  are heavily  influenced by Nasum, Rotten Sound and maybe even the plethora of  clones that ape them . But these guys are definitely in a league of their own.  Although the band is as visceral  and as   intense as  any of  their counterparts, these guys  moves away as much as they can from formulaic songwriting(a plague which has infected this genre quite severely)  by doing things still differently and  yet still remaining faithful to what they are. The para-diddles which ultimately build up to really fast blast beats in  Bygones Only Burn Once,  the dissonant mathcore like riffs at the beginning of Black Screen, the very simplistic  verse/chorus /verse/bridge songwriting in Lash in Lash out or just the fact that the band decided not to end with a slow heavy riff, which has been done a thousand times by the bands mentioned above and go all hardcore/crust all the way till the end. It is these simple things that makes The Drip not only stand out but beat the two legends mentioned above at their very own game.

This is a fantastic album, one that is distinctive in every way.  This is exactly what this genre needs right now.

RATING: 4/5 (This mighty tome will resurrect the dead, but it may not turn lead to gold)

AC/DC have now officially confirmed the release of 17th studio album Rock Or Bust on December 1, 2014. This will be the band’s first album without Malcolm Young, rhythm guitarist who’s facing certain health issues.

Malcolm Young has been replaced by his nephew Steview, who also would be taking part in the bands world tour.

Columbia records say in a statement: “Rock Or Bust follows the immensely successful Black Ice album, which debuted at number 1 in 31 countries upon release in 2008, and has gone on to sell nearly 8 million copies worldwide.

Rock or Bust finds AC/DC once again working with producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser. It’s the first album in the band’s 41-year history without Malcolm Young. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm’s condition, he will not be returning to the band.
