Searock is a semi-pro band competition hosted as a part of the three day long cultural fest, Waves, BITS Pilani Goa. Over the years Searock has established itself as one of the prime band competitions in the country, holding eliminations in 9 cities across the country last year.

This year searock aims to progress further into the underground realm of music in this country, with eliminations in ten cities which include Pune, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Goa. With cash prizes worth 1 lakh, recording opportunities in professional studios, scholarships in the best of music academies and a chance to perform in cities across India, Searock gives incentive to the best bands of this country to compete against each other with all they have.

Searock finalist prizes :
-Cash prize of total INR 1 lakh.
-Direct entry into MTVi Xtreme battle of bands.
-Recording deals at professional recording studios.
-Open for English Headlining act in “Waves” center stage.

Searock finalists get a chance to open for the English act at Waves 2016. Famous international bands like Dead Letter circus and Aking to name a few, have performed in waves. The English night has also had performances by Indian artists like Blackstratblues, Junkyard Groove, Baiju Dharmajan and Bhayanak Maut.
